One day, a bunch
of us kids were outside and it started to get
really cloudy and look like it was gonna rain. We didn’t care. We
were kids and we liked to play in the rain, as long as it wasn’t
lightning, ’cause Momma said we can’t play in the rain when it is
lightning.
Well, there were like fifteen or twenty kids in our back yard
when it started to rain. It was Saturday, the best day in the world.
We were playing all sorts of games and were getting hot anyway,
so, the rain was awesome. But, something very strange happened.
When it started to rain, it came down lemonade. I mean it! It was
fresh squeezed lemonade that tasted just like the real thing.
We all got out into the middle of the yard and put our mouths
up into the air and drank some lemonade. It was soooooooo good.
The sky started to change into a dark bluish color while it
continued to rain, and you know what fell next? It started to rain
blueberry bubble gum! I promise! It did! The gum was great. We all
caught a bunch of pieces in our mouths and then had a bubble gum
blowing contest. This gum stayed yummy and sweet for a long time.
Just when the gum was starting to get yucky, the sky changed
colors again, this time to a dark pink color, and it was still raining.
This time it rained cotton candy. Big huge fluffy balls of sweet
cotton candy fell into our hands. We all ate a ton of it and got really
sticky too.
The sky changed again and got really dark brown and black.
I said to my buddy, “I wonder what is gonna fall next?”
You know what fell next? It was the yummiest, biggest,
freshest, sweetest pieces of chocolate cake that we had ever
seen. The cake was sooooooooooooooooooo great! We all ate tons
of cake until we got very full.
Just when we were wishing we had something to drink to wash
down the cake…guess what fell next? Yep, the sky turned milky
white and cold fresh milk fell down. We all drank the milk until our
bellies were full.
This was one of the coolest days we had seen forever. After it
had stopped raining all the cool stuff from the sky, we started to
play again. This was one of the best days in our whole lives!
